This is a thermos cooker. Just boil your stew or beans or whatever and then place the pot into the insulated outer container. Your stew continues to cook without any further fuel or power being needed. It won't scorch or evaporate as much as simmering or a crock pot will. When we find ourselves in a situation where cooking fuel or power is limited, something like this can really increase your options. I highly recommend this item for people who are into preparedness.
